Lulie is a growth-oriented entrepreneurial leader and experienced Chair and Non-Executive, with a proven track record in building global data, insights, consultancy and subscription organisations. She specialises in strategic growth - via syndicated roll-outs, increasing criticality and developing evidenced product roadmaps to enhance TAM – all leading to margin maximisation and broader stakeholder engagement.

 

She is a consumer behaviour and insights specialist, in addition to being a leader in the fields of global beverage alcohol and the tertiary / CPD education sector.

Lulie joined the board of IWSR, the benchmark global data and insights organisation operating in 160 countries, as a Non-Executive director in 2022. She joined through the acquisition of Wine Intelligence, which she founded and was CEO of from 2002. In 2023, she was appointed as Chair of Planet Food and Beverage, a specialist consultancy organisation delivering food and beverage concepts and roll-outs for the world’s leading hotels groups. Since 2021, she has served as a trustee of The Wine and Spirits Education Trust, the leader in wine and spirits education operating in 70 countries and is an advisor to the Chair of the Gerard Basset Foundation.

She is a published academic, focusing on consumer behaviour and market research, and has held visiting academic teaching posts on Masters level courses in the France, Australia, the USA and Italy since 2000. She is a much sought after speaker, and has been the keynote at many international conferences and symposia in South America, Australasia, Asia, North America and Europe.

She holds a BSc. in Architecture, an MA in Strategic Marketing & Research, a Wharton certificate in Corporate Governance and has trained in postgraduate Executive Coaching. She is a member of the Market Research Society and the Worshipful Company of Vintners. She is a partner at Kitchingham Estate, establishing a vineyard in 2021.
